How to Get Involved

Board elections are held at the Annual General Meeting each year in May. Individuals interested in serving on ECVO’s Board of Directors must be individual members of ECVO in good standing and meet the following criteria:

  • Reside in the Greater Edmonton Region
  • Possess an understanding of the issues, size and diversity of the nonprofit sector
  • Have previous board experience
  • Have experience in the nonprofit/voluntary sector
  • Demonstrates the enthusiasm and ability to guide organizational evolution in a changing environment
  • Willing to commit to a three-year term with a minimum of one meeting per month (no meetings in July and August)
  • Willing to participate in sub-committee work.
