Highlights of 2015 AGM

Thank you to everyone who joined us at our AGM yesterday. For those of you who were unable to attend here are just a few of the highlights. During the business portion of the meeting,  ECVO Board Chair, Cliff Higuchi, shared the organization's new Strategic Framework for 2016 - 2019 and welcomed three new directors to ECVO's Board; Wanda Wetterberg, Sue Wilson and Erick Ambtman. In his Executive Director report, Russ Dahms shared many highlights from 2015 including the three new staff who joined ECVO: Sharon Mvundura (Volunteerism), Alain Bertrand (Capacity Building) and David Feldman (Governance and Leadership). Office Space Available for any Displaced Fort McMurray NP or Charity

Edmonton Chamber of Voluntary Organizations along with our shared space neighbours, the Edmonton Seniors Coordinating Council and ALIGN, are pleased to offer free work spaces to any nonprofit or charitable organizations displaced by the Fort McMurray wildfires. Two work spaces with private phone lines and laptops are available. Workspaces can be booked by contacting Sharon at 780.801.4727 or by phone at volunteerism@ecvo.ca ... Read more

ECVO Hosts AGM on May 11, 2016

ECVO's Annual General Meeting this year will focus on Change Management - specifically change driven by economics. Our guest speaker, Bob Chartier is well-known across the country as a thought leader, author and down to earth practitioner of new models for employee and citizen engagement, systems thinking and building leadership at all levels. His emerging and new style of leadership is based on the concept of an entrepreneurial “practice” off the corner of the desk. The Edmonton Chamber of Voluntary Organizations, commonly known as ECVO, consists of a small group of dedicated professionals who support and advocate for the nonprofit and charitable sector in the Alberta Capital Region. You can look to us for advisory services; training and professional development opportunities; news and resources from local, national and international nonprofit organizations; networking events and consultation on public policy matters relevant to the sector.
