ECVO hosts regular Board to Board Networking sessions so boards can come together to talk about important themes impacting the work of the sector. Developmental Evaluation with Michael Quinn Patton

On November 21, 2016 ECVO invites you to join us for a very special workshop with the internationally renowned evaluation specialist and author, Michael Quinn Patton. In a world of contrasting evaluation models, the challenge is to match the evaluation to the nature of the program, project or initiative being evaluated. This means we need options beyond the traditional approaches, especially when we are engaged in innovation and system change. During this workshop, participants will learn the unique niche of developmental evaluation and the methods and tools for conducting developmental evaluations. Funding Forum for nonprofit and ethnocultural communities

Take the mystery out of asking funders for money by participating in this full day event on November 26, 2016. Sometimes small nonprofits and ethnocultural communities have limited resources available to navigate the requirements that goe along with asking a funder for money. That's the reason for this special event. ECVO, and our partners* have invited federal, provincial and municipal funding agencies to participate in this event. You can meet and talk with funders; hear why they want nonprofits to have basic financial literacy skills; learn what they look for when they review funding applications; participate in workshops on budgeting, writing grant applications and report writing.
