The Today Centre provides a single point of entry to comprehensive services for those impacted by family violence in Edmonton and area.  The Today Centre uses an integrated service delivery model, which requires partnerships with service providers to ensure a collaborative, coordinated community response for those impacted by family violence.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time position of Team Lead to join our team!

Responsibilities:

– Oversee effective and efficient delivery of our Intake and Assessment Program in providing:

  • telephone, virtual and/or in-person intake
  • risk assessment and safety planning
  • short-term support
  • coordination of resources and services for individuals impacted by family violence

– Ensure compliance of all relevant and required policies and procedures

– Develop an annual Intake and Assessment Operational Plan to meet objectives and outcomes and develop evaluation tools to assess outcomes

– Maintain the data collection platform and ensure accurate data and file management

– Create, maintain, and report on program statistics required for monthly, quarterly and annual reports and proposals including issues/trends and challenges

– Provide client services including support, advocacy and referrals

– Supervise Family Violence Specialists and provide informal and formal feedback and evaluation and coach team members with difficult and challenging situations

– Assist in the recruitment and retention of team members

– Represent the organization on committees, community meetings, tours and events and collaborate with community partners

– Develop supportive referral requirements, draft linking protocols and presentations related to Intake and Assessment

– Support the Executive Director when required

The ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:

– Minimum post-secondary degree in related Human Services. A Bachelor of Social Work and registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers is preferred

– Minimum of 4 years experience in family violence services or programs

– Experience in crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning and short-term supportive services

– Experience in staff supervision and/or leading a team

– Experience working within community partnerships or networks

– Demonstrated knowledge of community resources, relevant acts, regulations and professional ethics

– Demonstrated ability to work with vulnerable and diverse populations

– Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills and strong computer skills

– Ability to follow ethical practices in accordance with the Alberta College of Social Workers Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice

– Possess a reliable vehicle and valid Class 5 Alberta Government Operators License.

The salary range for this position is $61,650 to $66,732 annually. Upon three months of employment and successfully completing the probationary period, the successful incumbent is eligible for participation in the organization’s Group Benefits Plan and Group RRSP Program.
