Come sharpen your skills and network at this free event.

This interactive beginner workshop is designed to guide and train the participants in the process of defining their organization’s mission, vision and values.
An organization’s mission, vision, and values are the course-guiding framework for all of the organization’s decisions, policies, and activities. These are not statements to be created in isolation but should be created through an active and engaging process that includes the board, key staff and volunteers, the membership, as well as other stakeholders.
This session will provide you with an understanding of good mission, vision, and values, an overview of the facilitation process, training on how to facilitate the activities, and supply you with resources and tools to facilitate the process for your own organization.
Objectives:
- Understand the importance of mission, vision, and values in organizational governance.
- Learn how to articulate clear, inspiring, and useful mission, vision, and values statements.
- Familiarize participants with activities and tools for creating mission, vision, and values statements.
- Define and frame what good mission, vision, and values statements are and how to use them.
